Also in this new 2023 season, Lee Cougan has made its most extreme and performing MTBs available to the Soudal Lee Cougan Team, the result of an experience that began in Illinois, United States, in 1977.
While in 2022 Leonardo Paez used the Rampage Innova a lot, in the more technical races his choice has always been the Crossfire 428. This year also Aleksei Medvedev, Daniele Mensi, Victor Manuel Fernàndez Grande, Massimo Rosa and Stefano Valdrighi will be able to choose the best solution between the two models, to fight at the head of the group and aim for new successes.
But the news does not only concern the bikes: together with the sponsors and partners of the Team, a new aesthetic has been developed involving the colors of the Lee Cougan bicycles and the official uniforms created by Pissei, to celebrate the new Soudal Quick-Step chapter.
With ambitions to excel in the world’s top mountain bike marathons, 2023 will be a continuation of last year’s configurations for bikes and components, with the novelty of the newly updated livery.
Crossfire 428, tested and developed together with the athletes of the Soudal-Lee Cougan International Team, brings into play all the know-how and vision of Lee Cougan. The result in terms of performance is incredible and makes the frame extremely competitive even on the hardest and most demanding tracks.
Rampage Innova has started a new trend in the evolution of the mountain bike. Its development involved the engineers of Lee Cougan, the two-time Marathon World Champion Leonardo Paez – with whom he won on his debut – and the legendary Roberto Gallo of the Gallo Moto suspension center, an active part in the development of the innovative ISS system (Innova Structural Suspension).
A new color enhances the harmony between the title sponsor Soudal and the two teams: Soudal-Lee Cougan for the MTB part and Soudal-QuickStep. It will be supplied to all the athletes of the Team. The combination of white and blue does not go unnoticed. A new livery for the bicycles that matches the team uniform, and recalls the institutional colors of the brand founded in the USA in 1977.
The Team colors will be available on the models in the Lee Cougan collection, to celebrate the successes of this partnership which resulted in 28 victories and 28 podiums with 73 top-10s in the 2022 season. Numbers that have brought the 6 years of collaboration to a track record of over 80 victories.
